Exploring Saignon and the Surrounding Area
Pis de Saint Jean
From the Auberge du Presbytère, walk up the main street, Rue Saint-Louis, toward the roundabout. Continue straight ahead, pass the school, and follow the sign for “Pis de St. Jean.”
At the end of the path, cross the road and take the second path on the right to enjoy a view of the village and begin the loop around the Pis de Saint-Jean. Continue straight through the next two intersections, then turn right at the third to head toward the road. Continue on the trail that runs alongside the road until you cross it, rejoining the original trail that will lead you to the school at the entrance to the village of Saignon.
The Peyrolles & Tourrel Loop

A more rugged getaway in the hills
From the inn, head toward Tracastel, then continue on toward Ginestière.
The trail then leads away from the village and joins the paths that wind through the hills around Clos de Norgues. You gradually climb toward Peyrolles before continuing on to Tourrel.
The return trip goes through Saint-Donat and Saint-Sauveur, then along the paths that lead back down to Saignon.
What we love:
A more immersive, peaceful hike through hills, woods, and small hamlets, offering a true taste of the Provençal countryside.

The Lantin & Bellegarde Loop

A countryside hike around Saignon
From the inn, walk through the village and then head down toward Chemin du Bourget, in the direction of Lantin.
The trail gradually leaves the village behind and winds through the farmland surrounding Saignon. Continue toward Bellegarde, then head back up toward Les Gravats and Les Gavots.
The loop continues to a place called Chêne, before gradually descending toward Saignon and returning to the village via country roads.

The open landscapes around Saignon, the small hamlets, and the paths that wind through vineyards, farmland, and wooded areas.
